Sindicatos de Trabajadores se declaran en alerta ante proyecto de ley que regula permanencia de tiempo en los cargos
* Presidente del Sindicato Mina de Compañía Minera Candelaria “apuntó los darnos” en contra del Senador Rafael Prohens, mientras que el parlamentario se defendió señalando que la iniciativa no era antisindicalista y que en el fondo promovía la renovación porque en las bases también existen líderes con legítimas aspiraciones de ocupar los cargos.

El Presidente del Sindicato Mina de Trabajadores de Compañía Minera Candelaria, Patricio Gárate Flores, en una declaración pública en la que explicó que tenía el apoyo de otros gremios de la minería, puntualizó que, “es muy lamentable y a la vez repudiable el proyecto que está impulsando el Gobierno de turno, y más grave aún, un Senador de la República de la Región de Atacama, Rafael Prohens Espinosa, el cual patrocina este proyecto, en contra de los sindicatos y su autonomía sindical, donde los trabajadores(as), mediante su estatuto legalmente pueden elegir a los dirigentes sindicales que ellos deseen y cuantas veces lo estimen conveniente.
Sin embargo, lamentamos que un senador como el Señor Prohens se esté entrometiendo en la dirigencia sindical autónoma de cada sindicato (estatutos), especialmente en nuestra región.
Hago un llamado a todos los sindicatos, a los trabajadores y trabajadoras de nuestra región a no votar en las elecciones, por el Señor Prohens, ya que siempre ha estado en contra de los trabajadores y ha querido menoscabar los derechos laborales. El parlamentario cuando fue Intendente de la Región de Atacama, siempre estuvo al lado de los empresarios y hoy con este proyecto sigue reafirmando su postura del lado de ellos, sin preocuparse del alto desempleo que existe en nuestra región. Señor Prohens dedíquese a construir un mundo mejor para los trabajadores de las empresas contratistas (colaboradoras de la región), donde no existan abusos laborales ni económicos, que tenga una estabilidad laboral y no los tengan trabajando en algunas empresas 2 años, cambiándole distintos contratos, menoscabando a los trabajadores sin estabilidad laboral, sin años de servicios, sin gratificación, sin vacaciones y los únicos que se enriquecen, son los dueños de las empresas, al cual usted respalda”, sentenció duramente en su declaración pública Patricio Gárate.

Ante las declaraciones del máximo dirigente del Sindicato Mina de Trabajadores de Compañía Minera Candelaria, Diario Chañarcillo buscó la contraparte para conocer la opinión del Senador por la Región de Atacama, Rafael Prohens Espinosa, quien fue claro y tajante en aclarar que el proyecto de ley no es antisindicalista y que no está en contra de los gremios de los trabajadores, sino por el contrario, busca como en todo orden de cosas, como ha ocurrido en el último tiempo en los diferentes Poderes del Estado, incluso en los consejeros regionales, concejales y alcaldes, entre otros, regular el periodo de permanencia en los cargos y que éstos no terminen perpetuándose en el tiempo, lo que hace mal a las democracias y a la transparencia con la que deben funcionar las diferentes instituciones y organizaciones, entre éstas los sindicatos.
“Al igual que los cargos en la presidencia, parlamentarios, y de alcaldes que en la actualidad tienen un determinado y acotado tiempo de permanencia (en algunos casos máximo por dos periodos consecutivos), me pregunto yo… ¿por qué no puede ocurrir lo mismo con los dirigentes sindicales?.
En el fondo, queremos promover la renovación de los sindicatos, no estamos en contra de estos gremios, en absoluto, pensamos que en las bases hay también trabajadores muy capacitados y líderes que perfectamente puede ocupar funciones dentro de un directorio sindical. Sin embargo, hay por ejemplo casos donde dirigentes llevan más de 30 años en los mismos puestos, lo que evidencia en el mundo sindical poca democracia, esto no permite en definitiva la renovación de sus dirigentes.
Muchas veces se escuchó que los parlamentarios estaban apernados, al igual que los concejales y otros cargos de representación pública, lo que felizmente hoy no está ocurriendo porque se legisló al respecto y nadie reclamó, sin embargo, no queremos que exista lo mismo en los gremios y sindicatos, ya que en ellos hay muchos trabajadores tremendamente valiosos que tiene las mismas aspiraciones y capacidades para ocupar los distintos puestos dentro de una directiva.
Si en definitiva se renuevan todos los cargos, ¿por qué no puede ocurrir lo mismo en el mundo sindical?, ¿qué los hace distinto de los demás…?”, señaló finalmente Prohens Espinosa.
