Senama y Seremi de Desarrollo Social difunden el proyecto de ley que permite el envejecimiento digno
El Servicio Nacional del Adulto Mayor (SENAMA) junto a la Seremi de Desarrollo Social y Familia Yosselin Moyano desarrollaron la primera jornada para personas mayores en la Cámara Chilena de Construcción para organizaciones y el Consejo Regional de Adultos Mayores CRAM.
En la instancia se presentó la oferta programática del servicio y la Ley integral de las personas mayores y promoción del envejecimiento digno, activo y saludable.
“Estamos celebrando el mes de las Personas Mayores además, el Servicio Nacional del Adulto Mayor cumple 20 años que trabaja con y para los adultos mayores, en esta fecha es importante que como Gobierno relevemos la oferta del servicio, así como también dar a conocer el contenido de la propuesta de la Ley Integral de las personas mayores que otorga al SENAMA de un fortalecimiento institucional en la promoción y defensa de los derechos humanos y libertades fundamentales de las personas mayores”, afirmó la seremi Moyano tras la actividad.
Por su parte Jorge Godoy representante del Consejo de Adulto Mayor de la región de Atacama señaló que “con respecto a las nuevas temáticas sobre los derechos y los deberes que tenemos nosotros que, con esta nueva ley, nosotros para hacer un trámite tanto notarial que prácticamente los notarios le pedían certificado de si acaso uno está bien con sus facultades perfecta eso es ilegal porque los notarios no pueden pedir eso, el único que puede certificarlo es un internista. Con esto nuevamente nosotros eh tenemos el derecho de hacer cualquier trámite sin situaciones que nos perjudiquen”.
“sobre el envejecimiento que tenemos nosotros es totalmente activo con la forma de realizar las actividades correspondientes respetando nosotros también las leyes, así que esto para mí fue muy grato participar en esta reunión y tener más conocimiento al respecto, porque esto nos ayuda a nosotros a aclararnos y saber que podemos enfrentar sabiendo que nosotros tenemos ahora esta ley que nos favorece cien por ciento” concluyó Jorge Godoy.
El proyecto de ley busca proteger los derechos y libertades, para su seguridad física, económica y social. A su vez, establece un procedimiento de aplicación de medidas de protección ante el abandono con la internación del afectado en alguno de los hogares o instituciones reconocidas por la autoridad competente.
