Presidenta del CORE saluda a los periodistas en su día
Ruth Vega Donoso, Presidenta del Consejo Regional de Atacama, envía un afectuoso saludo a todas y cada uno de los periodistas al cumplirse hoy 64 años de la creación del Colegio de Periodistas de Chile.
Fue el 11 de julio de 1956, que se promulgó como Ley de la República la creación de esta institución gremial dedicada al ejercicio ético de la información y de la comunicación en defensa de la plena libertad y derecho de la expresión.
En este día en que se celebra a quienes ejercen esta noble profesión, deseo extender un fraternal saludo por la incansable labor para informar a la comunidad sobre el quehacer diario en los distintos ámbitos. Además de agradecer la permanente disposición y colaboración de las y los periodistas de los medios de comunicación social, quienes permiten que podamos comunicar sobre el trabajo que desarrollamos en las distintas comisiones y en nuestras sesiones plenarias; con el propósito que la ciudadanía esté informada sobre el quehacer que desarrollan los Consejeros y Consejeras Regionales por el bien común de sus habitantes.
Tal como lo manifestó el periodista y escritor Gabriel García Márquez que el periodismo es el mejor oficio del mundo, y es una pasión insaciable que sólo puede digerirse y humanizarse por su confrontación con la realidad; deseo destacar y valorar el trabajo de estos profesionales de las comunicaciones, porque pese al complejo escenario que han debido enfrentar por los cientos de despidos, producto de la pandemia, es digno de reconocimiento el compromiso en la entrega informativa de forma clara, veraz y oportuna.
En nombre propio y de los consejeros y consejeras que integran este Cuerpo Colegiado hago llegar nuestro reconocimiento a todos los profesionales de la región que trabajan por informar, difundir e investigar distintos temas de interés público, de forma responsable y objetiva.
