Monseñor Ricardo Morales: Salgamos del Santuario con Jesús en los brazos y el corazón
La misa Solemne se celebró en el patio del Santuario, presidida por el Obispo, monseñor Ricardo Morales. La imagen de la Virgen fue escoltada por los bailes tradicionales, que acompañaron la celebración.
En la homilía, el Obispo dijo que “este es el santuario de la luz, porque en él se encuentra la luz que es Cristo, y que está en brazos de María”. Continuó señalando que, en medio de situaciones de oscuridad y desesperanza, “ahí viene nuestra Madre Candelaria con su Hijo que es la luz” y agregó: “Encendamos esa luz de Cristo en nuestro corazón para reconocer lo bueno, las personas que tenemos a nuestro lado y que nos sostienen y ayudan”. Refiriéndose al evangelio, habló de Simeón y Ana, dos ancianos. “No tenemos que olvidar la sabiduría que da el ser un hombre y mujer mayor. Hoy todos queremos ser jóvenes. ¿Por qué? ¿Qué nos da miedo?” y denunció que “a veces los ancianos son un estorbo en la casa, nadie se ocupa de ellos. Eso no está bien, tenemos que reconocer que como sociedad estamos mal, si no somos capaces de reconocer su valor”. Concluyó señalando que “María tiene en sus brazos a su hijo, y quiere que de este Santuario salgamos con Jesús en los brazos y en el corazón”.
En el ofertorio, integrantes de los bailes tradicionales llevaron al altar una flauta, un tambor y un banderín.
BENDICIÓN DE
LOS TRABAJADORES
El sábado por la noche se celebró en el Santuario la Bendición de los trabajadores, con la imagen histórica de la Virgen. En su mensaje, el Obispo pidió “por los trabajadores y trabajadoras de Atacama” y dijo que “Jesús nos invita a descubrir que el trabajo es una oportunidad de ser cocreadores con Dios, de participar en la creación, el trabajo para quien lo realiza con vocación y alegría es fuente de desarrollo humano y personal.” Sobre los desafíos, habló de tantos trabajadores “que viven en situaciones inhumanas, que no tienen condiciones mínimas para su trabajo. No podemos decir que hay crecimiento y prosperidad a costa de la indignidad de tantos, esto nos lleva a replantear qué economía construimos. Podemos tener bajos costos de producción, pero si es no considerando el bienestar humano estamos equivocados”.
En el ofertorio, trabajadores llevaron al altar un casco minero, implementos de salud, artículos de colegio, herramientas de construcción, uvas de temporeros, y una estola y una vela. Además, como es tradicional, se encendió una antorcha en memoria de los trabajadores fallecidos en faenas mineras. Para terminar la liturgia, el Obispo bendijo las manos. A causa de la pandemia, este año no habrá procesión de bailes, así que se han organizado para bailar por turnos respetando el aforo permitido, para saludar la imagen de la Virgen. La tarde del domingo se celebró misa a las 20 horas; hoy lunes 7 a las 11:00 de la mañana será la misa por los chinos difuntos y por la noche, a las 20 horas, la misa de clausura de la fiesta.
