México: Asesinan a balazos a ex gobernador de Jalisco en el baño de un restaurante
Aristóteles Sandoval, ex gobernador del estado mexicano de Jalisco (oeste), uno de los más violentos del país, fue asesinado a balazos la madrugada del viernes en un restaurante del turístico Puerto Vallarta, informó el gobierno regional.
Sandoval fue “víctima de un atentado en el municipio de Puerto Vallarta”, uno de los destinos turísticos más importantes del país, dijo el gobierno de Jalisco en Twitter.
“Lamento mucho el asesinato del ex gobernador de Jalisco (…) Es un asunto que se va a investigar para que se conozca la causa, el móvil y se castigue a los responsables”, dijo el presidente mexicano, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, al iniciar su conferencia matutina.
El fiscal de Jalisco, Octavio Solís, dijo en conferencia que el ex gobernador había pasado recientemente unos días de vacaciones en Puerto Vallarta con “familiares y amigos” y que regresó a esa ciudad hace aproximadamente una semana.
El ex gobernador se instaló en un hotel y realizó “diversas actividades recreativas y empresariales”, dijo Solís.
La noche del jueves llegó a un restaurante de la avenida principal de Puerto Vallarta y hacia las 07:40 GMT del viernes (04:40 en Chile) se levantó de la mesa en la que estaba junto con otros tres hombres y una mujer para dirigirse al baño.
“En el baño fue atacado por la espalda, al parecer, por un individuo con un arma de fuego”, detalló el fiscal. “Se está haciendo un barrido de la zona” y entrevistando a “testigos”, concluyó.
