Jóvenes comenzaron el servicio militar en el Regimiento N° 23 Copiapó

Con todas las medidas que la emergencia sanitaria del COVID-19 que se vive en la actualidad, se llevó a efecto el proceso de recepción y acuartelamiento de jóvenes que dieron inicio así a su proceso de servicio militar en forma voluntaria en el Regimiento N° 23 Copiapó.

Este año, sin duda, ha sido un acuartelamiento especial y la pandemia de COVID-19, que afecta a Chile y al mundo, obligó al Ejército de Chile a posponer el inicio del proceso de recepción y acuartelamiento de su nuevo contingente; en total más de siete mil jóvenes —entre mujeres y hombres—voluntarios que durante esta semana iniciaron un proceso de instrucción y

entrenamiento a lo largo del territorio nacional.

Este proceso considera el estricto cumplimiento de todas las medidas dispuestas por la Autoridad Sanitaria, como por ejemplo: la toma de temperatura al ingreso a esta unidad militar, el empleo de pasaportes sanitarios para el traslado y acuartelamiento a otras ciudades y empleo de elementos de protección personal (EPP). Asimismo, los nuevos soldados el Regimiento N° 23 “Copiapó” y sus instructores iniciaron un periodo de aislamiento preventivo, el incluye la toma del examen de PCR previo al inicio su periodo de instrucción en terreno.

Conscientes del compromiso y vocación de servicio de estos jóvenes para contribuir a la defensa, paz y desarrollo de nuestro país, a través de nuestro Ejército, es que durante el cumplimiento del Servicio Militar podrán acceder a una serie de beneficios, tales como: nivelar sus estudios de enseñanza media, acceder a cursos certificados de capacitación laborar, a becas universitarias, a

subsidios habitacionales, o bien, si así lo desean, a seguir la carrera militar, tanto como futuros Soldados de Tropa Profesional, o postulando a las Escuelas Matrices de la Institución.

Por otra parte, es importante destacar la importancia que tiene el bienestar de los Soldados para el Ejército de Chile. En este sentido, ellos iniciarán una fase de formación inicial que incluye un periodo de ambientación progresivo y secuencial, que los preparará para el cumplimiento de las exigencias propias de la instrucción y entrenamiento militar. Paralelamente a ello, sus familiares

se podrán mantener permanente informados y en contacto a través de la Oficina de Asistencia al Soldado Conscripto del Ejército (OASE).

OPINIONES:

El Mayor Juan Riquelme Riveros, Comandante del Batallón de Infantería Motorizada N° 1 “Atacama” al cual se integrarán estos jóvenes reclutas, destacó el cumplimiento de los protocolos sanitarios en esta actividad, como también el carácter y voluntaria disposición de estos ciudadanos para servir a la Patria a través del Servicio Militar.

Por su parte, el nuevo Soldado Conscripto Gary Candía Pereira, quien se presentó voluntario al Servicio Militar confesó que quiere vivir esta experiencia, reforzar los valores que le inculcaron en su casa, ser  un aporte a la sociedad y que su sueño es seguir la carrera militar. De igual forma, su

madre manifestó estar muy emocionada, pero feliz que su hijo quiera superarse, que ojalá pueda seguir en el Ejército y que, para ella, “todos los niños debieran hace el servicio Militar”.

Finalmente, el Coronel Patricio García Torres, Comandante del Regimiento N° 23 “Copiapó”, destacó el compromiso del Ejército de Chile con el desarrollo del país, a través de la formación militar, valórica y las oportunidades, de educación y capacitación, a las cuales accederán que estos

jóvenes durante el período de conscripción 2020-2021.
