Fue inaugurado punto de lectura en Establecimiento de Larga Estadía para Adultos Mayores de Copiapó
En dependencias del Establecimiento de Larga Estadía para Adultos Mayores E.L.E.A.M. de Copiapó, se llevó a cabo la inauguración de un punto de lectura y la invitación a participar en el concurso autobiográfico para adultos mayores «Confieso Que He Vivido», acciones enmarcadas en el diálogo participativo que se desarrolló en el lugar con Uniones Comunales de Adultos Mayores y clubes de adulto mayor de Atacama.
En la instancia, liderada por los Seremis de Desarrollo Social, Yosselin Moyano Calabrano, y de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio, Roberto Córdova González, se dio a conocer los programas y proyectos que estas carteras están ejecutando en el marco del Plan de Recuperación Inclusiva «Chile Apoya», y que van en directo beneficio de los adultos mayores y diferentes grupo etarios.
«Con el objetivo de construir una vejez digna, es que estamos realizando este trabajo colaborativo entre ambas secretarías ministeriales, a través del que se apunta a brindar acceso al arte y la cultura a los adultos mayores de la región», señaló la Seremi de Desarrollo Social, Yosselin Moyano.
La autoridad explicó que estás acciones refuerzan las políticas gubernamentales para los adultos mayores, las que permitirán duplicar los Centros de Estadía Día, duplicar la oferta existente en el Sistema Nacional de Cuidado, programa que fomentará la contratación de kinesiólogos, fisioterapeutas, psicólogos, y otros profesionales para el bienestar y cuidado de los adultos mayores, contexto en el que felicitó al Seremi de las Culturas, por implementar este punto de lectura en el ELEAM, y por el trabajo que están desarrollando para beneficiar a los adultos mayores, y que en esta oportunidad, apuntan a brindarles acceso a la cultura y el arte.

El Seremi Roberto Córdova, destacó el trabajo colaborativo que se está realizando con la Seremi de Desarrollo Social para llevar la cultura a todos los sectores y a todas las personas, y a la vez, subrayó en la importancia de generar espacios de participación en la cultura y el arte para los adultos mayores.
“Nuestros adultos mayores merecen un reconocimiento por su entrega, por el esfuerzo y aporte que han realizado en su vida en la construcción de nuestra sociedad, merecen una vejez digna, y para aportar a este objetivo es que inauguramos este punto de lectura con libros que son de
nuestros escritores y escritoras regionales, acción que además nos permite difundir y poner en valor las creaciones de nuestros artistas, más aún cuando estamos celebrando los 5 años de trabajo del plan regional de la lectura en Atacama».
El Seremi de las culturas, además comentó que en el marco de este trabajo colaborativo con Desarrollo Social, están planificando inaugurar otros puntos lectores en uniones comunales de adultos mayores de la región, además de generar otras iniciativas artístico culturales que permitan fomentar el acceso al arte y la cultura en instituciones y lugares de reunión de adultos mayores, y también con otro públicos como la juventud y los pueblos originarios.
LIBROS EN FÍSICO
Gladys Pérez Araya del Club del Adulto Mayor Pimientos y a la Unión Comunal de Adultos Mayores (UCAM) Pedro León Gallo Goyenechea, presente en el diálogo participativo e inauguración del punto lector, destacó la posibilidad contar con estos espacios, y la subrayó la relevancia que tiene para los adultos mayores de acceder a libros en formato impreso.
“El punto de lectura es de lo más importante, porque las personas mayores generalmente no dominan la tecnología y por esto se van quedando atrás, y la tener el libro en físico, es más fácil para leerlos. Creo que este es un gran paso, y creo que la UCAM lo va a tomar como ejemplo y como una idea innovadora para el grupo. Es ideal que se pueda hacer estos puntos lectores en la UCAM, sobre todo ahora que tendremos una sede, y esto es justo lo que necesitamos, es una muy buena idea”, expresó.
En la oportunidad, las y los representantes de las organizaciones de adultos mayores presentes, recorrieron las instalaciones del Establecimiento de Larga Estadía para Adultos Mayores E.L.E.A.M., que alberga a la fecha a un total de 35 adultos mayores, oportunidad en la que conocieron el trabajo que se realiza en su cuidado y bienestar a través de distintos profesionales.
** El espacio que cuenta con libros de autores regionales, es una de las acciones que la Seremi de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio junto a su par de Desarrollo Social, están generando para fortalecer el acceso al arte y la cultura en diferentes instituciones y personas de la comunidad.
