En circulación el libro “Freirina, una Historia” de Oriel Álvarez Hidalgo

En la comuna de Freirina, se lanzó a circulación la nueva obra de Oriel Álvarez Hidalgo, el que en su tercera edición viene a llenar un vacío de más de diez años, en que “Freirina, una historia”, se encontraba totalmente agotado.

Esta nueva edición de 256 páginas, es un trabajo mejorado y con nuevas biografías de freirinenses destacados, con un tiraje de 1.000 ejemplares y que serán distribuidos gratuitamente en la región en bibliotecas, museos, casas de estudios superiores y colegios de la Provincia del Huasco, y por supuesto la mayoría, serán entregado a los pobladores de la comuna, como un registro que es, de la historia y patrimonio de la más antigua ciudad del Valle del Huasco.

Destacan capítulos sobre  el himno y escudo de Freirina, los aborígenes del Huasco, llegada de los españoles a la zona, nacimiento de “Santa Rosa del Huasco”, principales acontecimientos económicos, políticos y vida pueblerina entre los siglo de XVII y XX, nómina de autoridades, los diversos minerales de la comuna como Capote, El Morado, Quebradita, Astillas y otros. Más adelante encontramos temas como el curato religioso, terremoto de 1922, bomberos, periódicos y revistas, poesías a Freirina y otros importantes temas que describen la vida de esta comuna.

El autor, tiene a su haber la publicación de más de diez libros, varios de ellos reeditados, entre los que destacan, además de “Freirina, una historia”, “El último constructor de balsas de cuero de lobo, Rodeo de burros actividad típica”, “Guía del patrimonio y la historia del Huasco”, “Personajes y oficios del Huasco”, “Rastros de la minería en el Huasco”, “Capote una mina de tres siglos” (coautor),  “Patrimonio, historia y personajes de Carrizalillo y Caleta Chañaral”, “ Historia Municipalidad y autoridades de Freirina”, “La Iglesia de Freirina”, “La cultura diaguita en la quebrada de Tatara” y otros en la que ha participado como coautor y colaborador como “Re-cuentos del Huasco”, “Biblioterapia de Atacama”, “Hospital Agustín Edwards” y otros.

“Freirina, una historia” en su tercera edición, es posible gracias a un proyecto  Beca para artistas destacados del Gobierno Regional de Atacama, actuando como patrocinante la directiva de Club Adulto Mayor Desierto Florido.

El autor, fue recibido por el Alcalde César Orellana y el Concejo Municipal en pleno, quienes fueron los primeros freirinenses en recibir ejemplares del libro, iniciándose la entrega a estamentos y lectores, en la medida que la circunstancia de la pandemia vigente lo permitan. Fotos/oriel
