Director de Secpla municipal confirmado en prisión preventiva y contratista se reemplaza cautelar por arresto domiciliario total
Luego de los alegatos que realizó la Fiscalía de Atacama ante la Corte de Apelaciones de Copiapó, respecto de dos imputados a quienes se indaga por delitos de fraude al fisco, cohecho y soborno en la Municipalidad de Tierra Amarilla, ayer miércoles se conoció el fallo del máximo Tribunal de la región.
Según indicó el fiscal de la causa, Luis Miranda Flores, en la audiencia se argumentaron los hechos que son materia de la investigación y los medios de prueba que hasta ahora se han reunido junto con el trabajo de la Brigada de Delitos Económicos de la PDI. Esto luego que la defensa de dos de los imputados presentara una apelación a la cautelar de prisión preventiva decretada por el Juzgado de Garantía el pasado viernes.
FALLO
Luego de la exposición de los antecedentes los Ministros de la Corte de Apelaciones de la capital de Atacama, confirmaron la prisión preventiva del director de Secpla del mencionado municipio por considerar que su libertad resulta peligrosa para la seguridad de la sociedad. Motivo por el que deberá continuar en la cárcel de Copiapó.
En el mismo fallo, la Corte determinó revocar la prisión preventiva de uno de los contratistas imputados y decretar en su contra el arresto domiciliario total, arraigo nacional y la prohibición de comunicarse con el resto de los coimputados y testigos de esta investigación. Respecto de éste último, la Corte de Apelaciones tuvo en consideración la edad del imputado, la actual emergencia sanitaria que vive el país y las distintas enfermedades que lo aquejan. Encontrándose, de acuerdo a las autoridades sanitarias, en el grupo de riesgo.

Aussie actor Russell Crowe has always worn his heart on his sleeve – sometimes to his detriment

Souths fans – including Crowe – endured a torrid 2024 season, finishing 16th with a 7-17 record.
Injuries and suspensions played their part but defensive frailties
were the biggest issue, with the Rabbitohs conceding an average of
28.4 points per game – their worst since 2006.
The Rabbitohs have gone back to the future by
sacking coach Jason Demetriou and re-instating former mentor Wayne Bennett
Souths fans will be hoping to see a fit and firing Latrell Mitchell back on the park next season
Injuries compounded their struggles, with key players like
Campbell Graham missing the entire season and
Latrell Mitchell limited to 11 appearances.
The season’s disappointments led to the dismissal of coach Jason Demetriou,
with Wayne Bennett set to return as head coach in 2025.
Looking ahead to 2025, the Rabbitohs have bolstered
their roster by signing English halfback Lewis Dodd,
Euan Aitken and Josh Schuster.
