Desorientación Social: A propósito de mi caso

Chile ha cambiado, qué duda cabe! Hemos sido testigos de fuertes cambios culturales y en el modo de vivir, de costumbres y de gustos. Nuestra bien conocida forma de hacer las cosas – “the chilean way” que lo resuelve todo y no resuelve nada – se impone hoy en día. Pasamos del Pop al Trap, moviendo solo la parte donde termina la espalda, de vestirnos con poleras de un tono a ser publicistas de alguna marca de tres grandes letras, en lo posible, lo más lejos del castellano, de unos tímidos años 80s, donde comprábamos todo lo que salía en la TV (generalmente Made in USA) a comprar todos los fetiches de culto de E.E.U.U. (Made in China). Todo muy rápido, todo muy aspiracional.
La apagada y opacada clase media de los 80s es ahora una que cultiva el esnobismo y la superficialidad. De matrimonios para toda la vida a divorcios express, de muchos hijos a pocos y, a veces, ninguno, las mascotas se han transformado en las nuevas fuentes de amor, de vivir en amplitud a vivir en estrechez de espacios (y en vertical), buscando ser más individualistas y al mismo tiempo transformándonos en menos individuos. De la vida citadina mejor ni hablar. Camino por la ciudad y escucho ruidos y música, no me siento cómodo, me persiguen los vendedores, me persigue la música (algo en tono “eke”), no encuentro el silencio, no existe el silencio. La estética se terminó hace un siglo, dejó de pertenecer a nuestro vocablo. Levanto mi cabeza y trato de encontrar algo sobre lo que me contaron hace años que se parecía a un país en vías de desarrollo, algo así como un felino asiático que no logro identificar, un jaguar, un tigre, no lo sé, solo veo un gato gordo con cara de sueño. De mi bandera de tres colores, sólo reconozco el rojo, del arcoíris político pasamos al símbolo de la diversidad, veo muchos colores, en la ropa, en el pelo, en la piel de las personas, necesito ampliar el espectro de luz para entender a esta nueva especie. Mientras tanto, sigo observando el comportamiento de la jungla y su nueva escala de valores, son años duros para los mayores con necesidades especiales, son años luminosos para los Millennials. Viajo en micro, voy en el Metro y no me reconozco.
El exceso de información me abruma. A veces, anhelo que se caigan los sistemas, que se corte la luz, los celulares son los nuevos protagonistas, más informados que nunca, más incomunicados que nunca. Hoy importa más la forma que el fondo, la etiqueta más que el contenido, el mensaje más empático es el que se impone, blanco o negro no sirve, debe dejar contento a todos. No se puede tocar a nadie, ni herir sensibilidades, la audiencia está hecha de cristal muy frágil. Nos llenamos de derechos y olvidamos los deberes, frase repetida pero muy vigente, hemos construido nuestro discurso en base al reclamo y a la queja, no nos gusta nada, ni mencionar las reglas o las simples normas urbanas, nos gusta la anarquía, nos acomoda el caos. Aquí no falla la termodinámica social, efectivamente, nuestra sociedad tiende al desorden y
podemos mostrarle evidencia al mundo: nuestras ciudades, nuestros recuerdos, nuestra historia en un constante incendio que no se detiene.
He intentado buscar las causas del mal que nos aqueja y creo tener una teoría desde mi limitada cosmovisión. Nos estafaron con la educación e instrucción que recibimos, nos vendieron un producto caro y malo, lamentablemente no se puede devolver, acá no existe el servicio al cliente a quién pedirle explicaciones. Los padres no estamos haciendo bien la pega, se nos olvidó la educación cívica, la del día a día, hemos delegado todo en los profesores.
Todo lo anterior ha conducido a una de las mayores pérdidas que una sociedad puede sufrir, el RESPETO. Palabra poco usada en estos tiempos, pilar fundamental en sociedades desarrolladas, en todos sus alcances, solo por mencionar algunos, respeto al prójimo, a la diversidad, al vulnerable, a la privacidad, a los espacios, al medio ambiente, a los animales, al ser humano en su dimensión total. Y los hechos pasan y pasan, la vida es rápida, vamos volando, nuestra memoria no alcanza a completarse cuando ya se resetea y vuelve a cero, olvidamos muy rápido lo importante, nuestros héroes cuestionados, medidos injustamente con reglas actuales fuera de contexto. Me siento un actor secundario, casi un extra de esta película, y pensar que alguna vez me sentí un transgresor y que iba a cambiar el mundo. Mi país ha cambiado. Por el momento, espero mi turno.
