Corfo ofrecerá 14 talleres y charlas online gratuitas sobre videojuegos y emprendimiento

A comienzos de abril, la capital regional debía ser sede del encuentro Videogame Atacama como una forma de impulsar el desarrollo de la industria del videojuego y el emprendimiento. Esta industria ha aumentado más de un 70% de uso y ventas, en el último tiempo, según Telecom Italia.
A raíz de las consecuencias de la pandemia COVID 19 que afecta a Chile y al mundo entero, sus organizadores debieron reformular su programación y ahora el evento se desarrollará completamente de manera virtual.
El encuentro Videogame Atacama es apoyado por Corfo, a través del programa de Apoyo al Emprendimiento e Innovación y cuenta para su realización con aportes del Fondo de Innovación para la Competitividad (FIC) del Gobierno Regional. Dada la contingencia, este evento estará en formato online y será abierto a toda la comunidad interesada en videojuegos y emprendimiento. Las inscripciones para participar del programa están abiertas en www.planeas.com/videogamesatacama.
La Directora Regional de Corfo Atacama, Silvia Zuleta Alfaro, realizó un llamado a participar en estos talleres ya que “es una excelente oportunidad para que todos los interesados en videojuegos puedan conocer más del tema, y cómo esta industria ha crecido asociada al emprendimiento y la innovación. Es un tema muy atractivo, en especial para los jóvenes, quienes pueden ver en esta industria una oportunidad para emprender. Por eso, dejamos abierta la invitación, para que los atacameños y quien quiera participar, sea parte del crecimiento y fortalecimiento de este sector”.
«Además de entregar herramientas para el emprendimiento en videojuegos, también queremos contribuir con llevarles contenidos de valor hasta sus hogares, tras la rutina larga de aislamiento social”, explica el director de Videogame Atacama, Alex Paredes Lazo. El programa iniciará con una Ceremonia de Apertura online el día jueves 7 de mayo a las 10 a.m. con la participación de Claudio Ossa, jefe del Departamento de Derechos de Autor y Derechos Conexos en el DDI, Departamento de Derechos Intelectuales con el workshop «Propiedad Intelectual para Industria de Videojuegos». Será un total de 14 actividades entre talleres de emprendimiento y webinars, donde se presentarán casos de éxito de empresas chilenas desarrolladoras de videojuegos.
Algunos de los temas a tratar tendrán relación con la introducción a los negocios de los videojuegos, cómo crear su propio videojuego y cómo lograr un emprendimiento exitoso en este rubro, buenas prácticas para prototipar videojuegos, propiedad intelectual, desarrollo de juegos en Unity, cómo operar una empresa, financiamiento, cómo publicar tu propio videojuego de forma independiente y contratos con publishers internacionales, en donde los interesados podrán aprender cada jueves de mayo, junio y julio a través de los talleres desarrollados por los expertos en el área.
Videogame Atacama es realizado por la empresa chilena especializada en Emprendimiento Creativo y Cultural, PLANEAS y la Asociación Gremial de Empresas Desarrolladoras de Videojuegos, VG Chile.
El programa, tiene por objetivo potenciar la Industria Creativa de la Región de Atacama y visibilizar el rubro de los videojuegos como una opción viable de emprendimiento e innovación tecnológica.
El programa ofrecerá también mentorías impartidas por expertos de VG Chile a los emprendedores que ya están emprendiendo en videojuego, anexión de nuevos miembros y la creación de la célula regional del gremio. Para los participantes con 80% de presencia en los 6 talleres, se sortearán 3 consolas retro: Atari, Nintendo y PS1.
Videogame Atacama también cuenta con apoyo de la Universidad de Atacama y la colaboración de Cowork Atacama, Departamento de Ingeniería Informática y Cs. de la Computación – DIICC de Universidad de Atacama, INJUV Atacama y la Municipalidad de Copiapó.
