Club de Atletismo Senior postulará a proyectos de Nueva Atacama
El Club de Atletas Seniors (CAS) de Copiapó se prepara a postular a proyecto financiado por la empresa Nueva Atacama, para continuar con sus actividades sociales y deportivas.
Además preparan un torneo deportivo, a desarrollarse en septiembre del año en curso.
Así lo dio a conocer su presidente, Eduardo Tapia Morales “nos interesa bastante participar este año ya que se abrió posibilidad a los clubes deportivos. El año pasado no participamos porque era para juntas de vecinos”.
Acotó que el Club en la actualidad cuenta con 40 integrantes, y la integración de nuevos deportistas está abierta, mayores de 30 años, hombres y mujeres, y los entrenamientos lo realizan en el Complejo Las Vertientes (situado en Circunvalación Norte), los días lunes, martes y jueves, a contare de las 19.00 horas.
TORNEO:
El dirigente además señaló que preparan lo que será el gran torneo atlético Ramón Tapia Chambilla. “Nosotros estamos trabajando ya fuertemente, en lo que va a ser nuestro propio torneo aquí en Copiapó, para el día sábado 10 de septiembre. Será el torneo Ramón Tapia Chambilla en la Pista Atlética. Esta competencia será con invitación a los clubes de atletismo master de todo el país, adscritos a la Femachi pueden participar”.
Dijo que para tales efectos, al interior del CAS se han conformado comisiones y coordinaciones con el presidente de la Asociación Atlética de Copiapó, el IND y el municipio copiapino.
“Estamos haciendo un esfuerzo enorme para conseguir los recursos económicos y realizar este torneo y poder recibir en septiembre, a los amigos del norte, del centro y del sur del país, al gran estadio atlético Ramón Tapia Chambilla”, agregó Tapia Morales.
Comentó que estiman que esta competencia congregue a alrededor de 150 deportistas, en diversas disciplinas de pista, lanzamientos saltos.
“Invitamos a las personas de la región de Atacama que se integren a nosotros y participar en este torneo”, dijo finalmente el directivo.
