Avanza «40 horas»: Comisión de Trabajo del Senado aprueba reducción de jornada laboral
*Este miércoles inició la votación en particular del proyecto, y los legisladores respaldaron la enmienda que modifica de 45 a 40 horas el guarismo de la jornada laboral ordinaria.

La discusión del proyecto que reduce la jornada laboral de 45 a 40 horas continuó este miércoles en la comisión de Trabajo del Senado, instancia que dio inicio a la revisión y votación de las indicaciones formuladas por el Ejecutivo y parlamentarios.
Así, los legisladores aprobaron por unanimidad la enmienda que sustituye a 40 horas el guarismo de la jornada laboral ordinaria que figura en artículo 22 del Código del Trabajo, ratificando de paso el texto que emanó de la Cámara de Diputados y Diputadas -dado que la iniciativa se encuentra en su segundo trámite en el Congreso-.
En esa línea, la senadora Loreto Carvajal (PPD) comentó que «con esto se manifiesta la intención que, me imagino, va a ser unánime en esta comisión, de sustituir justamente el número de horas que hoy día se reclaman por derecho y que tantos trabajadores y trabajadoras de Chile están muy pendientes de poder obtener, por justicia, por necesidades que, obviamente, vamos a pronunciarnos y discutir en lo que resta de la votación».
Mientras que su par de RN Rodrigo Galilea, resaltó que «en razón de que este proyecto y esta votación apuntan en sentidos correctos de ir disminuyendo la jornada de trabajo, y con ello compatibilizar mejor la vida familiar con el trabajo, voto a favor».
El senador Iván Moreira (UDI), manifestó que este «es el inicio de las 40 horas independiente de que vamos a tratar de lograr una mayor flexibilidad», y desde Evópoli, el presidente de la comisión, Luciano Cruz-Coke, aseguró que «hay disposición, hay deseo, hay voluntad de llegar a acuerdos».
