América Latina es el principal destino de las manufacturas de Chile
En los cinco primeros meses de este año las exportaciones chilenas de manufacturas y productos industriales suman US$3.567 millones, experimentando un alza del 55% con respecto a igual período del año 2021, de acuerdo con un informe de la Subsecretaría de Relaciones Económicas Internacionales (Subrei), elaborado con cifras del Servicio Nacional de Aduanas.
A nivel de zonas geográficas, América Latina figura como el principal destino de los envíos manufactureros, representando el 50% del valor de los embarques, seguido por Asia (19%), América del Norte (17%), Europa (12%), y África y Medio Oriente (3%).
“La producción y exportación de manufacturas es relevante para aumentar la resiliencia del comercio exterior chileno, ya que estos bienes con mayor valor agregado y contenido tecnológico exhiben una menor volatilidad en sus precios, y una demanda dinámica en el comercio mundial. Adicionalmente promueven el empleo de fuerza de trabajo calificada y poseen fuertes encadenamientos con otros sectores de la economía”, señaló el Subsecretario José Miguel Ahumada.
Del total exportado a América Latina, los mayores receptores son Mercosur, que representa el 41% de los envíos del período y la Alianza del Pacífico con un 39%. Otros países importantes en la región como destino de las exportaciones manufactureras de Chile son Panamá (8%), Ecuador (6%) y Centroamérica (3%).
Entre los principales productos exportados a la región destacan barras de acero, alambres de cobre, nitratos, polipropileno, bolas de acero para molienda de minerales, cajas de cambio, envases metálicos, botellas de vidrio, calefones, maquinaría para el procesamiento de minerales, medicamentos, papeles autoadhesivos, bolsas de papel, tapas roscadas de metal, carrocerías de vehículos, cápsulas fulminantes para la minería, ventiladores, cremas para el cuidado de la piel, champús, ventiladores, lana, neumáticos, cementos de resina, pinturas, barnices y colorantes pigmentarios, preformas de politereftalato de etileno (PET), tejidos, artículos de grifería, estufas, calderas y cocinas.
Un total de 2.083 empresas nacionales han exportado manufacturas en los primeros cinco meses del 2022, de ellas 1.683 han dirigido sus ventas a América Latina, siendo el mayor destino para su oferta, le siguen a distancia América del Norte (321 exportadoras), Europa (284) y Asia (229). De las empresas chilenas que exportan manufacturas a América Latina son el 41% corresponden a pequeñas y medianas (698). Sin embargo, el valor de sus envíos equivale solo al 3% de los embarques del período.
“Es necesario que las exportaciones puedan incrementar su valor agregado, y entren en la cadena de valor con mucho mayor contenido tecnológico. Es fundamental priorizar la integración de la producción con foco en las Mipyme [pequeñas y medianas empresas] de manufacturas a las cadenas de valor en nuestra región”, subrayó la autoridad de Subrei.
