Delegado Gerardo Tapia y subsecretario de Telecomunicaciones encabezan reunión con alcaldes

Una reunión para coordinar acciones que permitan resolver los problemas de conectividad existentes en las tres provincias de Atacama encabezó el subsecretario de Telecomunicaciones Claudio Araya junto al delegado Presidencial Gerardo Tapia y la seremi de Transportes Carla Orrego. En la ocasión, los alcaldes y alcaldesas de los municipios de la región dieron a las autoridades un diagnóstico comunal de las principales situaciones que afectan a los y las vecinas de su comuna en materia de conectividad.

Sobre ello, el subsecretario Araya indicó que el objetivo de recorrer las regiones del país es “conocer cuáles son los problemas que hay en materia de conectividad digital. Los alcaldes pudieron transmitirnos que era lo que les pasaba en sus comunas y pudimos saber cuáles eran las zonas que no tenían cobertura, dónde las señales son inestables y cuáles quedan sin señal cuando se corta la luz. Entonces nos vamos sabiendo dónde tenemos que focalizar los esfuerzos para lo que viene. Tenemos hartas tareas y proyectos que están en curso que van a contribuir a mejorar la vidas de las personas”.

Por su parte, el delegado Presidencial Regional Gerardo Tapia destacó “el compromiso de este gobierno de ir a los territorios. El Presidente Gabriel Boric nos ha pedido que hagamos trabajo de terreno y hoy día lo vemos reflejado en la visita del subsecretario, que llega no solo a reunirse sino además a hacer el recorrido completo de la región, donde pudo darse cuenta de la realidad, las debilidades y fortalezas de Atacama. Los anuncios que nos trae el subsecretario nos dan tranquilidad de que nuestra región va a estar más conectada y al nivel de los estándares que nos exige la comunidad”.

Tapia agregó que prontamente se establecerá “la mesa de conectividad en un trabajo en conjunto y con mucho detalle con los alcaldes, servicios, seremi y la subsecretaría para poder trabajar en la región. La conectividad está asociada principalmente a las redes de conectividad digital”.

En la misma línea, la alcaldesa de Chañaral Margarita Flores señaló que esta fue una reunión “muy relevante. Es muy importante para nosotros la conectividad, que es muy mala en la comuna. Hemos tenido muy buena acogida, sé que las soluciones no son inmediatas, pero sí podemos ir avanzando. El subsecretario acogió la inquietud que teníamos los alcaldes con el cableado. En esa línea nos dio a conocer el proyecto Chao Cable, donde nosotros podemos hacer valer nuestras ordenanzas, así que me voy muy conforme”.
