Este trámite se puede realizar una sola vez en la vida y el único costo asociado es el pago de la nueva cedula de identidad.
La Ley de Orden de los Apellidos rige en el país desde el pasado 11 de enero. La misma, permite que los progenitores decidan cuál de los dos apellidos irá primero y que los mayores de edad soliciten un cambio en el orden de sus apellidos.
Según datos del Registro Civil, el rango etario que más ha realizado esa solicitud son los jóvenes de 21 a 30 años. Hasta fines de marzo, se han registrado casi 1.500 peticiones para efectuar estos cambios, de las cuales 186 fueron hechas en Atacama.
Las comunas de la región que más veces han solicitado este trámite son Copiapó y Caldera, con 74 y 57 solicitudes respectivamente, en contraste de localidades como El Transito, Los Loros y San Félix que no han hecho ninguna solicitud. Así lo señala, Lucy Cepeda, Directora Regional Registro Civil Atacama.
El Registro Civil habilitó un agendamiento online, buscando evitar aglomeraciones y reducir los tiempos de espera. Este sistema se encuentra disponible en www.registrocivil.cl y funciona para todas las sucursales de la región, por lo mismo la directora hizo un llamado a ocuparlo y descargar los formularios antes de acudir a la oficina.
