Balance nacional: 20 fallecidos y 1.699 nuevos contagiados por COVID-19 presentó ayer Chile

El ministro de Salud, Enrique Paris, informó que según el reporte COVID-19 de ayer, “de los 1.699 casos nuevos, un 30% se origina por búsqueda activa de casos (BAC) y un 35% de los notificados son asintomáticos. En cuanto a la Región Metropolitana presenta un 19% por BAC y 31% de los casos notificados son asintomáticos”.
Paris recalcó que “la ciudadanía debe mantener las medidas de autocuidado. Nos preocupa mucho ver las imágenes en Santiago y regiones, de aglomeraciones de personas que no mantienen distanciamiento físico ni los resguardos mínimos para evitar los contagios. Como autoridad sanitaria hacemos un llamado a que la gente se cuide y desplazarse sólo si es extremadamente necesario. Es en este periodo donde más debemos cuidarnos. Debemos entender que la pandemia nos ha puesto en un desafío que debemos enfrentar juntos, autoridad y ciudadano, solo así nos podremos recuperar”.
Se informó además que dos regiones disminuyen sus nuevos casos en los últimos siete días. La positividad para la última semana a nivel nacional es de 4,84%. Asimismo, Paris dijo que la región de Magallanes continúa presentando una disminución importante de la tasa de incidencia por 100 mil habitantes, pero sigue siendo la más alta a nivel país. Las regiones con mayor aumento de nuevos casos confirmados en los últimos siete días son Atacama, Tarapacá, Maule y Aysén.
Según el reporte de ayer martes 22 de diciembre de 2020 de los 1.699 casos nuevos de COVID-19, 1.086 corresponden a personas sintomáticas y 576 no presentan síntomas. Además, se registraron 37 test PCR Positivo que no fueron notificados.
La cifra total de personas que han sido diagnosticadas con COVID-19 en el país alcanza a las 589.189. De ese total, 12.794 pacientes se encuentran en etapa activa. Los casos recuperados son 559.845.
En cuanto a los decesos, de acuerdo a la información entregada por el Departamento de Estadística e Información de Salud (DEIS), en las últimas 24 horas se registraron 20 fallecidos por causas asociadas al COVID-19. El número total de fallecidos asciende a 16.217 en el país.
A la fecha, 683 personas se encuentran hospitalizadas en Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos, de las cuales 516 están con apoyo de ventilación mecánica y 58 se encuentran en estado crítico de salud. Con relación a la Red Integrada de Salud, existe un total de 283 ventiladores disponibles para el paciente que lo requiera, independiente de la región donde se encuentre.
Respecto a la de Red de Laboratorios y la capacidad diagnóstica, ayer se informaron los resultados de 29.905 exámenes PCR, alcanzando a la fecha un total de 6.137.766 test analizados a nivel nacional.
El número de Residencias Sanitarias disponibles es de 139 con 9.661 cupos. Al día de hoy cuentan con 5.109 usuarios considerando todas las regiones del país. Para mayor información, las personas que no cuenten con las condiciones para realizar una cuarentena efectiva en su hogar y requieran trasladarse a una Residencia Sanitaria, pueden llamar al Fono 800 726 666 o ingresar al sitio web del Ministerio de Salud, www.minsal.cl.
