REPORTAJE: Trabajando por la inclusión en la primera infancia
Desde el primer día de clases, Eluney González de 3 años asistió feliz al jardín infantil Chollay de Fundación Integra, ubicado en la localidad rural de La Pampa en la comuna de Alto del Carmen, para comenzar junto a sus 17 compañeros de aula, una nueva experiencia que le permitiría incentivar su desarrollo integral y aprendizaje. Pero a menos de una semana de haber iniciado el año parvulario, la emergencia sanitaria obligó a suspender las actividades de manera presencial en el establecimiento.
No obstante, y pese al contexto, el equipo educativo, con el apoyo permanente de profesionales de Fundación Integra, están llevando a cabo diversas estrategias tanto en formato físico como digital para mantener la relación con las familias y sus hijos e hijas.
Y en particular están realizando un gran trabajo de apoyo pedagógico inclusivo para propiciar el crecimiento integral de Eluney González, en base a las Necesidades Educativas Especiales (NEE) en los ámbitos motor y del lenguaje. Esto último, explicado debido a su nacimiento prematuro a las 34 semanas. Así, través de la labor conjunta de un equipo multidisciplinario de la institución y la abuela de la niña, Otilia Campillay, se comenzaron a realizar sesiones por videollamada con actividades lúdicas y de acompañamiento.
“Eluney es una niña muy sana e inquieta. La relación con mi nieta es hermosa, la adoro, tratamos de siempre darle lo mejor”, indica Otilia Campillay, abuela de la niña. De igual manera, agrega que “la idea de inscribirla en el jardín fue para que pudiese nivelarse con los niños de su edad”.
El quehacer colaborativo fue posible a partir del amor incondicional de Otilia Campillay, emprendedora del sector de Los Tambos, por su nieta y sus ganas de seguirle entregando oportunidades para su aprendizaje, esta vez a través del establecimiento de redes con el equipo educativo del jardín infantil Chollay y profesionales de Fundación Integra. Lo anterior, aun cuando las condiciones de cuarentena voluntaria y distancia han dificultado las posibilidades para que los niños y las niñas mantengan sus experiencias de juegos y educativas llevadas a cabo en el jardín infantil en su hogar, especialmente para quienes presentan una discapacidad y/o Necesidad Educativa Especial (NEE).
“Eluney ha respondido bien, a ella le encanta hablar por videollamada. Le gusta mucho. Yo me he sentido bien, se ha notado el apoyo y preocupación de las tías. Se agradece mucho que estén presentes. Y estamos muy entusiasmadas de volver al jardín infantil, porque además estos meses han sido muy agotadores, porque además yo trabajo desde la casa”, precisa Otilia Campillay.
Estimulación temprana Cada semana por medio, la directora del jardín infantil Chollay, Maritza Lagos, la educadora de párvulos, Carolina Ardiles, y la profesional de Inclusión de Fundación Integra, Gabriela Acuña se reúnen de manera virtual con Eluney y su abuela Otilia para realizar una actividad de estimulación temprana. En esta labor, también cuentan con el apoyo de Maryluna Ríos, fonoaudióloga e hija de la directora del establecimiento. Así, aunque sea mediante una pantalla, Eluney juega y se desafía con artículos de su cotidianeidad –por ejemplo, su cepillo de dientes o al reconocer las partes de su cara- para propiciar sus áreas del lenguaje y motor.
Luego de la sesión con la niña, su abuela también recibe apoyo para fortalecer sus habilidades parentales, desde una perspectiva que propicie la contención y una crianza respetuosa, con la finalidad de entregarle las herramientas necesarias para que Eluney pueda seguir aprendiendo, explorando y siendo feliz.
“Cuando los niños se sienten cómodos, tranquilos y contentos en el momento del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, la respuesta es muy favorable. Y aún más, si desde el adulto hay expectativas en este sentido. Y yo observo que la familia y el equipo tienen muchas expectativas en Eluney, y esto me gusta mucho. Porque se está respondiendo a sus necesidades desde una mirada afectiva, para fortalecer su desarrollo de manera integral, para fomentar el vínculo con su familia, su autoestima y autoconcepto. Nosotras nos sentimos muy contentas de hacer este pequeño aporte”, comenta Gabriela Acuña, profesional de Inclusión de Fundación Integra.
Es por esto que cada sesión se planifica colaborativamente con anticipación, teniendo en consideración la flexibilidad y la adaptación al proceso individual de aprendizaje de Eluney, y durante los días restantes, se mantiene el seguimiento y acompañamiento. De igual manera, cabe mencionar que de manera previa se contempló un diagnóstico y elaboración de plan de intervención desde una mirada inclusiva, con la intención de llevar a cabo acciones pertinentes a las necesidades particulares de Eluney.
Por esto, para Maritza Lagos, directora del jardín infantil Chollay, la iniciativa “ha sido muy significativa porque surge del interés de una familia de contar con un apoyo para educar de una mejor manera, más aún en esta situación que estamos viviendo”.
Cabe mencionar que, si bien el apoyo a la niña comenzó en el marco de la emergencia sanitaria, en el jardín infantil Chollay mantienen como principio permanente una educación inclusiva en el aula, donde se valora, respeta y acompaña el proceso individual de crecimiento y aprendizaje de cada niño y niña y a su familia.
Al respecto, Lagos indicó que “este es un desafío que tenemos a diario. En más de una oportunidad hemos tenido la posibilidad de atender a niños y niñas con NEE. Y, en realidad, en el proceso los niños nos asombran, porque se adaptan fácilmente y potencian sus habilidades a través de actividades que resulten desafiantes para su desarrollo e innovadoras. Y esto además nos hace sacar lo mejor de nosotras como educadoras, como parte de un equipo pedagógico que busca apoyar a las familias y, especialmente, a los niños”.
Compromiso con la infancia La Seremi de Educación, Silvia Álvarez Matthews destacó la labor educativa que se está realizando con la primera infancia para continuar con los procesos de desarrollo y estimulación de los niños y niñas. “En este caso, las profesionales hacen un tremendo trabajo a través de videollamadas, que les permite suplir su mayor dificultad que es la distancia geográfica, para llegar a los párvulos con actividades pedagógicas y lúdicas. Pero más importante aún, entregan herramientas a padres y apoderados para que trabajen con sus hijos e hijas, reforzando en especial aquellos pequeños que tienen Necesidades Educativas Especiales de manera de dar continuidad a la estimulación y su desarrollo socioemocional que les permita seguir avanzando en sus procesos de aprendizaje”.
La historia de inclusión de Eluney y el apoyo y acompañamiento brindado por el equipo educativo y profesionales de Fundación Integra, es reflejo asimismo de lo desarrollado por cada comunidad a nivel institucional en la Región de Atacama, para seguir favoreciendo el bienestar de la primera infancia en el actual contexto.
Así lo explica Patricia Espinoza, directora regional de la entidad educativa, quien señala que “en general, los equipos educativos se han organizado para contactarse con las familias, en primera instancia para saber cómo están, y también para enviar material de apoyo pedagógico que pueden realizar en el hogar. Y respecto a la inclusión, este es uno de los pilares de nuestra institución, por lo que se han identificado necesidades específicas de los niños y las niñas, para acompañar su proceso de desarrollo. Es fundamental seguirnos vinculándonos con las familias, para que puedan sentirse acompañadas en este contexto, lo que ha sido muy importante y significativo”.
En particular desde el ámbito de inclusión, la institución participa periódicamente en la Mesa Intersectorial de esta temática (que mantiene su labor pese a la situación actual), donde también son parte entidades como SENADIS, JUNJI, la Superintendencia de Educación, Chile Crece Contigo, entre otras. De esta manera, se busca trabajar colaborativamente en pos de la inclusión social y educativa.
