Slep Atacama inicia sus operaciones con nuevo director ejecutivo

Municipios iniciaron el proceso de traspaso de infraestructura, equipamientos, funcionarios y estudiantes, bajo la Ley de Norma y Procedimientos.

Este miércoles, 22 de marzo, se hizo la presentación oficial del nuevo director ejecutivo del Servicio Local de Educación Pública (Slep) de Atacama, Carlos Pérez, en una conferencia virtual que sostuvo con el intendente Patricio Urquieta, quien le dio la bienvenida a la región, para llevar las riendas educativas en las provincias de Copiapó y Chañaral.

Si bien el nombramiento del funcionario fue el 16 de marzo en Santiago, no había podido asumir el cargo de forma presencial dada la contingencia sanitaria que se vive en el país; no obstante, desde este lunes se instaló en el territorio regional para iniciar las coordinaciones de trabajo con los respectivos municipios que estarán a su cargo.

“Es importante resaltar el compromiso mutuo y el mantenimiento de las buenas relaciones que tiene que existir entre nosotros como Servicio Local de Educación Pública Atacama y los distintos municipios del territorio Copiapó – Chañaral para que el traspaso de los establecimientos educacionales se realice adecuadamente en beneficio de nuestros niños”, puntualizó el director.

A propósito de esto, explicó que justo ahora se comenzará el proceso de traspaso de infraestructura, equipamientos, funcionarios y estudiantes, bajo la Ley de Norma y Procedimientos para que el Slep Atacama pueda desarrollar de la mejor manera el trabajo que le corresponde de ahora en adelanta.

En ese sentido, el profesor de Estado en biología y ciencias apuesta al espíritu de colaboración de los municipios los cuales, como sostenedores, “hacen un gran trabajo para el levantamiento de todo lo que se necesita para avanzar”; asimismo, manifestó estar entusiasmado de poder contribuir en “mejorar la calidad de nuestros estudiantes”.

Sobre su opinión del retorno a clases de manera gradual no profundizó en detalles, pero dijo que es algo que hay que evaluarlo según lo que acontezca día a día y la tasa de contagios que, esta semana, ha aumentado en la región con siete nuevos casos en la comuna de Vallenar.

En todo caso aseguró que la idea es avanzar términos de aprendizajes y que el desafío que se tiene como sistema es “ver cómo conseguimos, a través de otros métodos, que nuestros estudiantes aprendan y puedan desarrollar las competencias que les servirán en sus estudios superiores”.
